Week 3 wrap-up

Week 3 is in the books and conference play for most teams kicks off this week. But not before we summarize week 3.
Streak Over
A streak that started in the late 90's came to an end on friday as St. Xavier stunned Colerain, ending Colerains home win streak. The classic game was overshadowed in the end with Colerain's head coach yelling at the St. Xavier student section at the end of the game. Don't let that story overshadow what was possibly the game of the year.

Steam Rolled
The nightmare season continues for the Northmont Bolts. After there 63-12 loss to Moeller saturday, people in Clayton are worried about what GWOC play has in store for them. While down in Cincinnati, Elder is in shock as they were blown out on friday by Kentucky rival Louisville Trinity. The Panthers shouldn't be to concerned though as Trinity is one of the best in the nation and hopes are still high for a GCL south title, though anytime Elder is beat that bad people take the time to step back and wonder what happened

O Canada
Of the notable teams that played teams north of America, Wayne and Centerville got into the win category with blow out wins. Teams that continue to play Canadian teams, end up losing major playoff points in the end due to Canada's later season.

Going North
The GCL north has been split down the middle, with Fenwick and Alter both starting undefeated. But CJ and Carroll were able to pick up there first victories of the year. All the teams have big confidence going into GCL play and watch out for an exciting race.
