Michael Simpson has had staggering numbers the last two seasons at Chaminade Julienne. In the off-season he made the move to Trotwood-Madison, the move has caused for alot of changes and new looks. The last two seasons alot of pressure has been put on Simpson, but he has overcome it,throwing for 26 touchdowns and 3123 yards over his two years of varsity at CJ. The move to Trotwood has been a load of adjusments, the hardest has been "(learning) The new offense and the coaching staff" Simpson said. With all moves though come new expectations and excitment, Simpson told us "just playing with the new team, against really good competition and being successful" was what he is excited about for this season. Simpson and the Trotwood Rams will open up there season friday, versus Thurgood Marshall.

Middletown's Marshall looks to continue where he left off last season

One of the biggest suprises of last year was Middletown getting the top seed in region 4. Middletown went 10-0 in the regular season but was upset by Wayne in the first round of the playoffs. Middletown will get there shot at redemption versus Wayne, saturday at Welcome Stadium. In order for the Middies to beat Wayne junior quarterback Jalin Marshall will need to be on. Last year versus Wayne, Marshall was held to 21 rushing yards and two fumbles, his worst performance of the year. Though the playoff performance was not what the rest of his season was like. He rushed for over 1400 yards and 17 touchdowns and threw another 12, including a game where he rushed for 308 yards. Middletown faces a much tougher schedule this year facing Winton Woods, Colerain, Wayne, and Troy. These challenges should build Marshall and the Middies into a true playoff team and hope for a deeper run than last years one and done.
